This house is located in the suburbs, not far from the city center of Funahashi.

The circulations are defined by a series of ramps that led the user through the differents spaces.

The ground floor has all the living and public spaces, while the private parts of the house are found on the first and second floor. This building also has three courtyards that give a great sense of peacefulness.

This is yet another example of Ando´s ability to create deeply human and peaceful spaces with light, void and movement.

The result? A shelter from the outer world, that communicates through subtle shadows, motion and more importantly, silence.
