House in La Jolla, 1996
WALLACE CUNNINGHAM

This house is located on a peak in La Jolla, the desing results from site prescribed imperatives. Sweeping panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean generate the plan´s circular form whose core is removed to create an enclossed entry courtyard protected from the prevalents winds.

While the exterior form is determined by the site, each interior space has a unique configuration in response to specific programmatics requirements. Transparent glass perimeter walls afford each upper level room bothe ocean and courtyard views. The boundary between interior and exterior spaces is obscured as the glass slides open transforming the surrounding terraces into living spaces.
